How durable are tiger eye beads?

On the standard Moh's scale of hardness which rates gemstones on a scale of one to ten, tiger eye holds a rating of seven. Tiger eye is both beautiful and practical.

How strong is silk cord? 

You could tie a five pound weight to our .8mm twisted silk cord and it would dangle indefinitely. This is why most better quality beaded  and semi-precious jewelry and pearls are strung on knotted silk cord.

How are the beads knotted?

There is a knot between every bead and the knotting is done by hand. This separates and highlights each bead. It also protects from wear since beads do not rub against one another. If the silk cord was cut, only one bead could fall off the strand. This provides added protection.

Will I need to polish the silver beads and ornamentation?

Yes. All that is necessary is a basic polishing cloth that can be obtained from most jewelry stores. Silver polish is not necessary or recommended.

Are the ear wires allergy safe?
